Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Taya
Taya

Hello! Taya is doing good! She is almost housebroken and very happy. She immeadiately was at home and fit right in. The kids adore her! Thankyou for this opportunity to rescue a puppy and give my girls the dog they have been asking for.... and they renamed her Sally! Anita Schmidt

Oatiss
Oatiss

Hi. Oatiss has been great. He's already a member of the family. The transition went very smooth and he seemed to fit in right away. We couldn't be happier with him or his personality. Thank you, Matt & Tara

Isabella
Isabella

•Bella and Isabella.jpg (98 KB) Hello, Isabella is doing just great. She is a welcome addition to our family and we love her dearly. She is almost trained and has learned a few commands. She is a very loving puppy. I am attaching a photo of Isabella and her best buddy. Cindy

Honey

We are so happy with Honey, who we have renamed Heidi. She is doing very well in her new home and has made friends with many of the neighbors' dogs.

Since she is still a puppy, we have had a few potty accidents, but nothing unexpected. She sleeps through the night at the foot of our bed, but while awake she is always ready to play. And she loves to be with us wherever we go!

I have attached a few pictures and want to thank you for bringing such a happy companion into our home.

Georgia
Georgia

Hi. This is the Apolito family letting you know Gracie (Georgia) is fitting in to the family very well. She is a very fast learner and behaves well. The typical "puppy thing" as always like peeing sometimes when she is nervous, she does not chew anything because we stay on her and make sure she has plenty of toys and chewy bones for her to "destroy." We are VERY happy to have her as a part of our family. We taught her to swim a couple of weeks ago and she is like a fish now!

Thank you very much for letting us adopt our new "child!"
