Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Dixie
Dixie

Hi Kathy, My sons renamed Dixie to Kona Cline. She is doing wonderfully well and is growing every day. We also have a 3 year old puggle, Sassy, who has become Kona's new big sister. Kona has no fear of a bigger dog and is always ready to play. They are great together and Kona learns very quickly from Sassy. Everyone loves Kona as the newest member of our family and she has brought all the family a special happiness. Several people have asked where I got her so I have referred several people to Second Chance Rescue. If you send out e-mails about the program please put me on your list I would love to keep up with the program. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do. Roz

Good morning, Thank you again for the opporunity that you gave to us for have our baby boy "Jeremiah", we changed his name! his name is Jeremiah Draves, we are so happy with with him in our life and in our home and he is happy and safe with his new family and home. We took him to the doctor's office for his follow up and vacines and his health is pretty good, he is eating good, playing a lot with us and with his toys that mami Ines got for him; and all our friends and family are involved with us for Jeremiah, the new member of the Draves family. Attached please see some pictures of our baby boy Jeremiah. Thank you for keep in touch with us for Jeremiah's addoptions and progress. God bless you,

Haley
Haley

Kathy, My husband and I adopted Jane and Haley, and we absolutely love them. They have settled in quite nicely at home. I would say the only negative has been that Jane is aggressive towards dogs. She barks and has tried to nip at a dog once. We are going to try taking her to training though and take her to a dog park, so that hopefully she can learn not to be anxious around them. Thanks again. Kelly
