Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Farrah

We are very happy that we brought Farley and Farrah into our family and our home. They are so loving, smart and just all around great dogs. We love them very much and will love them for many many many years to come. Our experience with your organization was the best! We are recommending you to everyone that asks us where we got Farley and Farrah, thank you so very much for this opportunity. Please keep on doing what you do, in return you will get many blessings, including ours! Thanks again

Kathryn "Katy" McLintock

(NOTE: Katy was adopted together with her sister Lady Madeline) Both Katy and Maddy are adjusting well. They have a huge yard to run around and play in and a family that loves them. I will send pics soon. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to care for these two beautiful dogs. The Morales Family

Genesis

Hello, Genesis now "Bella" is doing great. She has been a great addition to our family and seems to fit in very well. We were a little nervous at first because none of the other animals seemed to want to be bothered with her but she has warmed everyone up to her playfulness including the cats. She is doing well with her house training thanks to her finding out that she can go through the cat door anytime that she wants. Also she is the first puppy that I have ever met who does not like walks. She has a tendency to walk for a half of a block and then decide that she has had enough; once she decides this she will walk on the grass and just lay down refusing to get up. Lastly she loves to play dead when she has done something wrong. We are so happy that we lucked up on your web site and I feel that we truly picked the best dog for our family. Thank you, Joelle Fritz

Holly Berry

I just wanted to give you an update on Holly Berry (now Stella J )….. She is doing very well and getting along great with Ellie. Stella is growing very quickly – she had a vet appointment yesterday and she weighs 22 pounds already…up 6 pounds from her last vet appointment 3 weeks earlier! I’ve attached a few pictures of her/them. Please pass on to Barb as I know she was looking forward to getting updates on her. Thanks for everything you guys do! Your organization is great!
