Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Taylor

Hi Gemma....thought you might like this photo of Remi and Etta (new names) after being with us just one week! Theyare doing well and we are SO happy to have them!!! Linda and John Ramsey

Tyson

Over all Tyson is a hard headed and very stubborn, that has to do with the bulldog in his blood.  He is learning the rules slow but sure.  He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and if we both live through his puppy stuff he will be a wonderful dog!  He does well on a leash and likes going for walks.  He gets into things when I'm gone for long periods but it's nothing serious and to be expected.  When I come back in, he's always glad to see me.

Tyson is said to be part boxer and I suspect he also has some pit blood. I've had ten boxers during my lifetime, some more challenging than others.  For the most part they were all great dogs in time, so Tyson fits the bill and I knew he was going to be a little more of a challenge than some I've had in the past.  Over all he seems smart and very teachable.

Tsunami

Tsunami, now known as Bella, has adjusted very well to her new home. She is, of course, a puppy so we are still potty training but she's getting it.  She has lots of chew toys because she is still teething.  Bella just went for her second vet visit and had her rabies vaccination.  She also just started revolution for heartworms, ticks and fleas.

She is my baby and she is spoiled rotten.

Tofu

We are doing great!  I’m afraid Chance (Tofu) still has some leftover ringworm from his kittenhood but we are treating it with Lotrimin at Gemma’s advice.  We renamed him Chance after all the great folks at A Second Chance Rescue.  He and his big brother, Trigger, are best buddies and his human brothers and sister are madly in love with him as am I.

Thanks for everything!

I have attached photos of Chance with his fur brother Trigger and his skin brother Mason J

Trooper

The guys are doing great!  They're very affectionate, very nice, had no accidents outside the litter pan, greet me when I come home, very happy!
