When I was just 8 weeks old I went in to get spayed and the Vet discovered that my kidney was enlarged and had ruptured and I was leaking urine and blood into my abdomen.  They thought it might be trauma related.  Had they not discovered it, I would have been dead in a few days.  They removed my bad kidney.  My other kidney is working great and I have gotten big.  I love to play with other dogs and sleep in the big bed with my foster mom.  A bloodtest done last week showed that my remaining kidney is functioning fine.  I can live a normal life with only one kidney!
