Hi, my name is Roscoe. My first owner, who began my training died in December 2020. For almost a year I have been on my own. In October, I came across a shlelter who took me in. Then, I became of apart of the ASC family in the beginning of November. I am a 3.5-year-old who has an opinion. Let me tell you a few things about myself so you can decide if we could be a good match.
I will: - Want to learn - Make mistakes - Jump a 4' fence (see video) - Have a good relationship with other dogs - I will react negatively if you rush my training - Open lever door handles, so I hope you have round knobs on your doors!
My foster Mom is being super patient with me. She is helping me to learn that when someone reaches for my collar it can be a positive experience. It's hard for me to forget the bad things that happened during this past year, but I am trying!
My adoptive parents should be: - Experienced with large breeds. Ideally, the Rottweiler breed - Able to continue the professional training I have now. Alison is really cool. She really gets me, - VERY PATIENT - Agreeable to using a crate - Willing to install a 6'wooden fence if you don't already have one - Do not have 2 legged kids under the age of 14yrs old
Currently, I live with a 11-year-old Rottie, Bruin and a 11 year old 23lb dog, Langley. Bruin was on the streets much longer than me. Plus, he is an older guy, so he doesn't really play much. Langley, is small but mighty! He has put me in my place more than once, but I think he is warming up to me. I know I can get him to play with me if I just keep trying......
I do want a forever home but I don't want to be with people who think I'm being bad on purpos and who don't understand the Rottie breed. I'm about 93lbs now (quite thing for a dog like me) and will only get bigger as a grow and am fed appropriately.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit. If you think you (and your family) would be a good match please fill out an application. My foster Mom will call you to chat.
