In November 2010, gorgeous Rocco, was adopted from us. A few weeks after his adoption, Rocco was stolen from his adopter's backyard (Incidentally, his adopter was a police officer who had his cruiser parked right in the driveway).
Fast forward to two and a half years later and Rocco was just dumped at Palm Beach County ACC, left in the night drop box with no information. Thankfully, his microchip led them back to us and we pulled him immediately! Clearly whoever had him was not good to him and he was severely underweight, his skin and coat were a mess, and he had heartworm infection. Thankfully he still had his fabulous temperament.
Three months later, our boy has gained 34 pounds and all of his fur has grown back and he just tested negative for heartworm. He will need to be kept on heartworm prevention and will be retested in six months to ensure he is completely clear of heartworm.
Any family would be lucky to have this dog as a member! He is great with kids, other dogs, and everyone he meets!
