Hi Peter!
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Ours was nice and quiet ... Well, except for the little antics of Cha Cha and Molly, which are always a fun sight to see.
Just wanted to send you a recent picture that I took of them on Thanksgiving Day.  As you can see, Cha Cha is doing beautifully!  She plays the mother role to Molly, running to her whenever she hears her cry.  She's the best!  I'm so glad we have her!

Best to you and yours!

Inky
Inky

Hi Kathy, wanted to let you know "Inky", now named Cody, is doing very well in his new home! He is adjusting nicely and is a much loved addition to our family. He has been seeing the vet for vaccines, is housetrained, and becoming socialized with our 2 cats and other dogs in our neighborhood. He goes for daily walks on the leash and loves to play with his toys. I am enclosing a couple of pictures for you, thanks for the effortless adoption process and all the great work you guys are doing! Leigh Ann

HARRY

Dear Kathy, Harry is the second pet we've got from Second Chance in less than a year! We adopted Jack (formally Elvis) in December 2009 and he is very happy to have a little brother! We also have a 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog and she loves both Jack and Harry, rounding out the family is our 11 year old cat, Harvey. Harry is VERY interested in Harvey and follows him around copying his actions.. Harry is doing really well! Our vet is at Banfield at the PetSmart we adopted him from and all of people there love him! He has a spot of Ringworm so that is in the process of being cleared up and our vet is very happy with his progress :) I had not planned on adopting another cat (or any pet actually), I happened to be at Petsmart taking Jack and Paxton to their annual checkup and I saw Harry and fell in love! I took the dogs home and then went back to get a closer look......and took him home! I've attached some pictures of our newest family member. Thanks for everything! - Gemma

Lucy
Lucy

Hi - The first two weeks with Lucy were a little rough, but she has settled in quite nicely now and is the spoiled "baby" of the family. She did try to be alpha dog for a while there and was snapping at our other dog and son on occasion, but we understood that she had been spayed and had a puppy taken away shortly before joining our family, so we were all patient with her. It took the dogs a couple weeks to sort out jealousy and territorial issues, but now they are good friends - sharing toys nicely, playing and even napping together. Lucy is now a wonderful addition to our family! She's very snuggly and everybody's favorite nap buddy. She has learned all the house rules very quickly and adapted very well. We think she's wonderful... Warm regards, from the Lynch Family

Hi, Ziggy is doing great and has been to the vet for all his shots. We are going to Donald Ross Animal Hospital which is closer to our home. He loves to go for walks on the leash and is working on potty training. We all love him and he is growing fast. I will try to send a picture to you soon. Thanks, Laura.

Slinky
Slinky

It is nice to hear from you and I'm happy to say that Captain Jack (formerly Slinky) has been doing great! He has adjusted to his new forever home very well and we cannot be more thrilled to have him as a part of our family. He is such a sweetheart and when he is not out on one of his adventures he spends most of his time snuggling with us. Speaking of his adventures, he gets a walk to the marina by our house every day where he meets his many friends to play. His favorite adventure though is boating. He loves swimming and even has his own raft where he can relax and take a break when he is tired of swimming and playing with the other boat dogs. Captain also got to take a road trip for the 4th of July to our family's lake house in Georgia where he got to swim in the lake with his cousin Charlie Dog, go tubing down the Chattahoochee River and hike the Appalachian Trail! He was so tuckered out from his vacation that he slept almost the whole drive home :) Needless to say, Brett and I are so happy to have found Captain. We comment almost every day on how lucky we are to have found such a great dog. He has brought a tremendous amount of joy to our lives and judging by his frequent smiles and kisses he's pretty happy with his new forever home too! Amanda & Brett McCoy
