Description: Bruin is a 100lbs nothing but love teddy bear. He greets everyone with wiggle butt b/c he can't get his nub of a tail to move fast enough. He lives with another Rottie as well as a small dog (22lbs) and gets along with them perfectly. He is a good listener, does well on a leash and is completly house trained. Bruin does have hip dysplasia which is very comom for this breed. He does well being on a joint supplelments; an Omega 3 supplement and a Joint Supplement (which he will have to say on for life) and taking 1-2 walks a day to keep his maintain his weight and activate his muscles. Bruin has had limited interaction with young children. For this reason we would prefer that he be adopted by a family with children no younger than 10 years old. We don't feel that he would purposly harm a little one but if they were to cause him discomfort he might growl and/or snap which can result in his return. He came to ASC under weight, with 2 infected eyes and hearworm positive. The first few years of his life were not easy but you would never know it. He has a very laid back relaxed attitude and is now a healthy happy boy! Bruin just wants to be loved, hugged and petted all day long. He looks forward to giving you kisses!
If you have experience with Rotties and do not own a cat please apply for Bruin. You are welcome to email Suzanne@asecondchancerescue.org with any questions you might have.
